Hi, I’m an independent developer from Switzerland!
I started working on my first app in 2016, just for fun. Back then I remember I was a young geek who always wanted to fiddle with his router to get the best out of his home network, so I came up with the idea to create an app that would automatically detect the local IP of the router and show the setup page with just 1 tap!
That’s how I released Router Setup Page, my first app.
That same year I decided to rent an apartment and move out on my own. It was fun, but I always found myself throwing away a lot of food because I couldn’t remember the expiration dates. So I started working on an app that would allow me to be notified of the upcoming expiration dates of the food I was storing in my home.
With this concept in mind, I started working on No More Waste, which is my gem, the app I spent most of my time on. It gave me the opportunity to learn a lot more about Android and user interactions.
There were some difficult moments, when I was faced with horrible bugs reported by users, but I always tried to do my best to respond to every report or request.
For years I’ve been improving both apps, listening to Play Store ratings, never stopping even though this was just a hobby I spent some evenings and weekends doing, since my primary job is another one.
Lately I’ve been working a lot on an app that I hope will see the light soon. It’s a travel social network, but I admit it’s a titanic and difficult undertaking.
GIF Caption Maker, on the other hand, was born from an idea I had last month. For a long time I’ve been looking for a way to add funny text to gifs so I could share them with my friends and have a laugh, so I decided to make an app that would fill that need.
I always thought that you users would understand that behind an app there isn’t always a strong and experienced development team, but that sometimes there’s a shy enthusiast who sacrifices his free time to do what he likes.
From all of this you can tell that my passion is creating apps that make life easier!
As I always like to say: NevrGivApp!
